TheDataHQ is a web scraping and data extraction service operated by BinaryBits, with its registered office at 101, Shubh Height II, Near Minaxi School, Mehul Nagar, Jamnagar, Gujarat, India - 361005.

For anything relating to your personal data, including requests to access or delete it, contact chirag@binarybits.co.

We only collect personal data that you give us directly. There is no account system on this site and we don’t build profiles of visitors.

When you submit an enquiry through a form on this site, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• Your company name, and office address or company website where you provide them
• The requirements you describe, and any file you choose to attach

We use the information you submit to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and deliver services if you go ahead. We don’t use it for anything else.

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, our lawful basis is your consent when you submit the form, and the performance of a contract once you become a client. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.

We don’t sell personal data. We don’t share it with advertisers. We don’t use it to train machine learning models.

This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no advertising trackers. It does set two analytics cookies, described below.

Google Analytics counts page views and tells us which pages are useful. IP addresses are anonymised and no cross-site advertising profile is built.

HubSpot, our CRM, sets a cookie when you visit. If you later submit an enquiry form, that cookie lets us see which pages you read before getting in touch - so we can answer with some idea of what you were looking at. It is not used for advertising and is not shared with advertisers.

Both are optional to the site working. Block them with any standard browser setting, extension or Do Not Track feature and every page, and every form, behaves exactly the same. Our enquiry forms do not need the cookie to work; without it we simply receive the enquiry with no browsing history attached.

We keep the list of third parties deliberately short. Your enquiry may pass through:

• HubSpot, which receives and stores every enquiry and newsletter signup - it is our CRM and the system of record for anyone who contacts us
• Calendly, if you choose to book a call - in which case their privacy policy also applies
• Our hosting provider, which processes standard server logs

We operate from India and work with clients in the USA, UK, Europe, Asia and Australia. If you contact us from outside India, your enquiry will be transferred to and stored in India.

Enquiries are also stored by HubSpot, which processes data in the United States and the European Union under its own data processing agreement.

Where personal data is transferred out of the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses with our processors.

Enquiries that don’t become projects are deleted within 24 months.

Records relating to actual engagements are kept for as long as the commercial relationship lasts, and afterwards only for as long as tax and accounting rules require.

You can ask us to delete your data sooner and we will, unless we’re legally required to keep it.

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights over your personal data:

• Access - ask for a copy of what we hold about you
• Correction - ask us to fix anything inaccurate
• Deletion - ask us to erase it
• Restriction and objection - ask us to stop or limit how we use it
• Portability - ask for it in a machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent - at any time, without affecting anything done before
• For California residents: the right to know what we collect and to request deletion. We don’t sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, so there is nothing to opt out of.

Email chirag@binarybits.co with what you want and we’ll respond within 30 days. We won’t charge you and we won’t ask you to justify the request.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your local data protection authority - the ICO in the UK, or your national supervisory authority in the EU.

This policy covers data about you as a visitor to this website. It doesn’t cover data we collect for clients as part of a scraping engagement.

For that work we act as a processor on the client’s instructions and under a separate agreement. We only collect information that is publicly available, and we don’t gather personal or identity-related information as part of those engagements.

This site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it to answer you. We’ll tell affected people promptly if a breach ever puts their data at risk.

If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
